What type of accounts do I have with Clair?

Your Clair Spending Account and your Clair Savings Account are deposit accounts issued by Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC*.

Within your Clair Spending Account you may receive your direct deposit from work, pay off any credit card bills, send checks, transfer money to other banks, and access all features you can traditionally use with another deposit account.

Your Savings Account is just like what it sounds, a savings account! You can use this account to store money for the future and instantly transfer funds into your Spending Account. If you try to make a transaction on your debit card and do not have enough money in your Spending Account, we will never use money from your Savings Account to complete the transaction.

Clair Spending is a demand deposit account established by, and the Clair Debit Card is issued by, Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC. Mastercard® and the circles design are registered trademarks of Mastercard International Incorporated. Clair Savings Account established by Pathward N.A., Member FDIC.

*Funds are FDIC insured, subject to applicable limitations and restrictions, when we receive the funds deposited to your account.
