On-Demand Pay Service No Longer Available

Why has my On-Demand Pay access been disabled? Your employer’s current workforce management or payroll provider is unfortunately no longer supported by Clair’s integration for On-Demand Pay services. Without this integration, we can no longer facilitate On-Demand Pay advances. However, you will still be able to continue using your Clair Spending Account, Savings Account, and Clair Debit Mastercard® functionality, and any current balances and future deposits will be unaffected. Banking Services provided by Pathward®,N.A., Member FDIC. Advances provided by Pathward, N.A. Why am I unable to sign up for Clair? Unfortunately, Clair is no longer integrated with your employer’s time and attendance or payroll provider. What does this mean? This means that although Clair would love to provide you with these services, we are no longer able to provide On-Demand Pay advances for employees using your employer’s time and attendance or payroll provider. You can, however, continue to use all of  Clair’s other banking services uninterrupted. Banking Services provided by Pathward®,N.A., Member FDIC. Advances provided by Pathward, N.A. Can my employer turn this back on? No, it is not possible for your employer to re-enable these services with their current payroll or time and attendance provider.

Previously had a Clair Spending Account? Here’s what you need to know.

Clair has always made a point to listen to you, the real people who use On-Demand Pay every day, and we have heard your requests for a simpler product!  Here at Clair, our mission is to provide you with the tools to feel more financially free, with earned wage advances that allow you to have control over your money, when you need it. In order to make this feature more accessible, Clair has made the decision to no longer support Spending & Savings Accounts. Instead, we are integrating the Clair On-Demand Pay directly into our partnered providers and sending advances directly to your preferred bank account or debit card. Clair values your feedback, and we want to make the best product for you. This decision to transition away from a banking app will mean that you are able to take advantage of the On-Demand Pay feature without having to open a new bank account — instead, you can send your wage advances to an existing bank account. If Clair is your only banking app, we recommend exploring alternative banking options2. We also understand that some Clair users will no longer have access to On-Demand Pay as some providers Clair had partnered with would not be able to support the new product. However, we still want to do right by you! There are a few small changes you will need to make in order to ensure an easy transition to an alternate bank account:   Make sure you have repaid any owed or outstanding balance you have within On-Demand Pay. Switch your direct deposit to go to your preferred bank account. Transfer any funds from your Clair Spending and Savings Accounts to your preferred bank account. Make sure your email and physical addresses are up to date in the Clair app. If you still want to access Clair On-Demand Pay, check your eligibility (insert link to “Check your eligibility” page) to see if Clair is available for you.  FAQs How do I change my direct deposit away from Clair? You should be able to change your deposit accounts through your payroll provider. If you do not have access to your allocations, contact your manager or HR department and advise them that you need to change your direct deposit allocations. They will be able to help you. If you do not have an alternate bank account, you can ask to receive paper checks instead of direct deposit. What happens if my paycheck goes to my Clair Spending Account after it is closed? If your paycheck is still being sent to your Clair Spending Account after it’s been closed, it will be sent back to your payroll provider for alternate issuing. To avoid this happening, switch your direct deposit allocation to another bank account as soon as your On-Demand Pay balance is repaid. We also recommend waiting to close your account until you have verified that your deposit is going to the other bank to avoid paycheck delays. What will happen if there is money left in my account at the time of account closure? Any money left in your Clair Spending Account upon account closure will be issued to the mailing address on file via a check. To prevent delays in receiving this balance, please make sure you transfer funds before closure and make sure your address is up to date within the Clair app. (Insert deep link to “update address” screen in the app) What exactly is going away? With this change, we will be closing all Clair Spending and Savings Accounts. The Clair Debit Mastercard® will also be retired as it is connected to these accounts. You can still take advantage of On-Demand Pay if it is offered through your Payroll or Time & Attendance provider. What will happen if my provider is no longer continuing with Clair because of this change? If Clair is no longer available through your provider, you will lose access to On-Demand Pay. However, Clair is continually expanding to more partners in order to make On-Demand Pay more widely available. Please keep an eye out for future products from Clair that you may be eligible for. Banking Services provided by Pathward®, N.A., Member FDIC. Advances provided by Pathward, N.A. Standard data charges may apply when using the Clair app. 2 You are being directed to a new website.
