How does Clair On-Demand Pay work?
Here’s Clair’s process: After you work a shift, a % of your earned wages will be available for you to advance. This is usually immediate, but some employers may take up to 24 hours to report shift data. Once the shift appears in the Clair app, you can advance a percentage of the wages earned from that shift. Your advances will be deposited into your Clair Spending Account and can be spent using your Clair Debit Mastercard®. To repay your advances, your Clair Spending Account will be debited when you receive your next paycheck, or on the assigned due date, whichever is sooner. After each repayment, the amount you are able to wage advance refreshes. As a reminder, when Clair takes a repayment, we only deduct the amount you advanced, nothing more. There are no fees, interest, or charges for these wage advances. Banking Services provided by Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC.

How do I repay Clair?
Clair will attempt to repay any wage advances automatically when your next direct deposit arrives. Clair will repay the amount you've advanced (and not a penny more). Then, the rest of your paycheck will be available in your Clair Spending Account. How to use your existing Clair funds to repay your amount owed: If the funds in your Clair Spending Account are greater than or equal to the amount owed to Clair, you can initiate a manual repayment within the Clair App. Click here to see how. If funds in your Clair Spending Account do not cover the amount you owe, please see how to add funds to your account. Click here to see how. If you do not see the option for repayment, your repayment will be made when your next paycheck deposits into your Clair Spending Account. Banking services provided by Pathward, N.A. Member FDIC. Advances provided by Pathward, N.A.

I updated my direct deposit, why can't I access Clair On-Demand Pay?
If you updated your direct deposit by giving a form to your HR representative, you won't have access to Clair On-Demand Pay until your first paycheck directly deposits into your Clair Spending Account. If you logged into your payroll system and manually updated your direct deposit, you can email a picture of the updated settings to directdeposit@getclair.com. Clair Care will then confirm the change and grant you early access to Clair On-Demand Pay! If you would rather wait, you will become eligible for Clair On-Demand Pay when your first paycheck directly deposits into your Clair Spending Account. It can take one to two pay cycles for your payroll system to register that you've updated the location of your direct deposit. As soon as your first paycheck directly deposits into your Clair Spending Account, you'll be able to start choosing when you get paid! Banking Services provided by Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC.
